SBS Confirms Two Special Episodes for Agent Kim Reactivated

SBS has officially announced that Agent Kim Reactivated will receive two special episodes following the drama’s finale.

On July 14, an SBS representative confirmed that the series will air two special broadcasts after the final episode, adding that the exact format and content are still being finalized. The special episodes are scheduled to air on July 31 and August 1, following the drama’s finale on July 25.

Starring So Ji Sub, Agent Kim Reactivated follows a former secret agent who is forced back into action after his daughter is kidnapped, risking everything to save her.

The action thriller has been one of the biggest K-drama hits of 2026. Episode 6 recorded a 22.3% nationwide rating, making it the highest-rated miniseries episode of the year. It also surpassed the ratings of SBS hits The Fiery Priest (22.0%) and Taxi Driver 2 (21.8%), becoming the network’s second highest-rated Friday-Saturday drama behind The Penthouse 2.

The drama has also found massive success internationally. It topped the Netflix Global Top 10 (Non-English) with 10.5 million views during the week of June 29 to July 5 and ranked in the Top 10 across 79 countries, further cementing its global popularity.

With the drama’s 10-episode run nearing its end, SBS hopes the two special episodes will give fans a little more time with one of this year’s biggest television successes. More details about the special broadcasts are expected to be announced soon.
