The East Palace Starring Nam Joo Hyuk and Roh Yoon Seo Premieres July 17
Netflix has officially confirmed that its upcoming fantasy mystery drama The East Palace will premiere on July 17.
The series follows Gu Cheon, a man gifted with the ability to travel between the human world and the spirit realm, and Saeng Gang, a court lady who can hear the voices of spirits. After being summoned by the king, the pair becomes entangled in a dangerous investigation involving dark secrets hidden within a cursed palace.
Alongside the premiere announcement, Netflix unveiled a new poster featuring Gu Cheon standing in a shadowy pond, surrounded by an eerie red aura. Bound by ropes and carrying peach tree branches on his back, the mysterious image hints at the supernatural dangers awaiting him.
Nam Joo Hyuk stars as Gu Cheon, while Roh Yoon Seo takes on the role of Saeng Gang. The drama also features Cho Seung Woo as the king who brings the two together to uncover the truth behind the palace’s haunting mysteries.
Directed by Choi Jung Gyu (The Devil Judge) and written by Kwon So Ra and Seo Jae Won, The East Palace blends fantasy, mystery, and historical intrigue into one of Netflix’s most anticipated Korean dramas of the year. The East Palace premieres exclusively on Netflix on July 17.
