In the autumn of 2012, Su Zai Zai transfers to Yucai High School and quickly develops a crush on the quiet and distant Zhang Lu Rang. Though he excels academically and comes from a well off family, Lu Rang lives under the shadow of his younger brother, a true genius. Constant comparisons have left him withdrawn and unsure of himself.

Everything begins to change when Su Zai Zai enters his life. With her bright personality and the support of their close friends Gu Ran, Guan Fang, and Jiang Jia, Lu Rang slowly starts to open up and discover who he really is. As they encourage one another through school and life, feelings grow deeper, friendships strengthen, and first love quietly blooms within their circle.
