After losing his mother at a young age due to an incorrect weather report, Cho Yong Pil decides to become a weather forecaster. His mother had worked as a haenyeo, a female diver who harvested sea life, and her death leaves a deep impact on him. Determined to protect the elders of his hometown, he refuses to ignore wrong forecasts. His strong sense of responsibility and blunt honesty earn him a reputation at work as someone who often clashes with his superiors.

Cho Sam Dal grew up alongside Cho Yong Pil, but unlike him, she dreams of leaving their small hometown of Samdalri behind. She moves to Seoul with big ambitions and works her way up in the fashion photography world. After years of struggle, she finally reaches success under a new name, Cho Eun Hye. Just as her career peaks, everything she built collapses in an instant, forcing her to return home to Samdalri, where she is still known as Sam Dal.

Once inseparable as children, Cho Yong Pil and Cho Sam Dal drifted apart after an incident that ended their friendship. When Sam Dal returns home, they come face to face again, and the feelings they once shared slowly resurface, giving them a chance to heal old wounds and reconnect.
