The story takes place in 1997 when South Korea is hit by a major economic crisis. Kang Tae Pung grows up comfortably thanks to his father, who runs a small company called Typhoon Trading. His easy life changes overnight when the crisis strikes and the company begins to fall apart. In the middle of this turmoil, his father suddenly passes away.

Tae Pung refuses to watch the company his father cherished collapse. He takes over as CEO, determined to protect it. Although he used to be careless, he now approaches every challenge with heart, responsibility and a strong desire to prove himself. He fights to keep the company alive with the help of his family and loyal employees including O Mi Seon.

O Mi Seon is the eldest daughter in her family and carries many responsibilities. She works at Typhoon Trading as a bookkeeper and handles everything from cleaning to organizing receipts and ledgers. As she watches Tae Pung try his best to save the company, she begins to find new hope. Through her hard work and sincerity, she dreams of building a real career at Typhoon Trading.
