The series centers on siblings Jiang Mu and Jin Zhao. Mu is a sheltered and pampered younger sister, while Zhao is her exceptionally gifted older brother. When Mu is nine, their parents divorce, and Zhao moves to Thailand with their father, sending the siblings down separate paths that no longer intersect.

Years later, after learning that Zhao was adopted, Mu travels alone to Thailand to find him. When they reunite, she discovers that the once refined boy has become a rugged young man shaped by life on the streets. Zhao is now involved in boxing and racing, living a dangerous and thrill-filled life completely foreign to Mu. Undeterred, Mu works to adapt to Zhao’s world and to her father’s new family. With her intelligence and warmth, she excels in her studies and life in Thailand, and her empathy gradually brings light back into Zhao’s life. As his co-pilot, she becomes his perfect navigator.

Realizing that Zhao is trapped in a destructive cycle, Mu resolves to pull him out and bring him home. However, an accident separates them once again. In Zhao’s absence, Mu takes on the responsibility of caring for the family while pursuing their shared dream of aerospace. Many years later, after graduating, Mu returns to China. She reunites with Zhao in Nanjing, where they express their deep affection for one another in their own quiet ways. Like the sun by day and the moon by night, their love continues to shine, enduring and inseparable.
