Lee Je Ha grew up in the shadow of a legendary filmmaker, his father a master whose name carried weight in the industry. Je Ha’s debut film stunned the world and earned him the label of a genius, but the praise quickly turned into pressure. Haunted by the fear of a sophomore slump, he disappeared from filmmaking altogether, spending five long years in silence.

Determined to break that paralysis, he finally returns with a second project. The script is a romance centered on someone living with borrowed time, a story that feels uncomfortably close to his own anxieties.

While researching, Je Ha meets Lee Da Eum, an aspiring actress with a rare, incurable illness. She has no idea how much time she has left, yet she lives loudly and warmly, so familiar to the hospital staff that everyone knows her name. Drawn to the script, Da Eum begins offering Je Ha honest advice, and through it, she finds renewed purpose as an actress.

As they work together on the film, their shared wounds slowly surface. One is frozen by fear of failure, the other racing against time itself. In the space between art and reality, Je Ha and Da Eum grow closer, their collaboration turning into a fragile, tender romance that neither of them expected, but both desperately need.
