Soo Jin is a quiet science teacher who notices that one of her young pupils is being hurt at home and that nobody around the girl will step in. In a moment of pure impulse she takes the child and runs, and the two begin a life on the move as a made-up mother and daughter. A bond neither of them expected grows on the road while the police and the girl's real family close in. It is a slow, tender and often heartbreaking story about what it really means to be someone's mother.
