Seo Mi Rae is an exhausted webtoon producer whose nonstop work schedule has left her with no time for dating or even thinking about love. Burnt out and emotionally drained, she unexpectedly receives a mysterious “Monthly Boyfriend” device that lets her enter a virtual dating world filled with the perfect romances she has only dreamed about.

Inside the simulation, Mi Rae meets charming and impossibly perfect boyfriends who slowly awaken feelings she buried long ago. For the first time in years, romance feels exciting again.

In real life, however, she constantly clashes with Park Gyeong Nam, her talented coworker and biggest rival at the company. Cold, distant, and annoyingly good at his job, Gyeong Nam is the person Mi Rae least wants to deal with every day. But beneath his sharp attitude hides a different side that slowly begins drawing her closer.

As Mi Rae becomes caught between fantasy and reality, she starts questioning what kind of love truly makes people happy.
